With our versatile fleet—from small vans to Rollerbed Q7 trailers, many equipped with tail lifts, air ride systems, and ADR-ready capabilities—we provide a service you can count on. Through our long-term partnerships, we also provide nationwide services and overnight collections.

Expressway Handling offer full in-house air cargo screening services, meaning we can offer a “One Stop Shop” option from point of collection within the UK, on site screening and onward airline delivery saving you both time and money.

We have invested in the very latest screening equipment and now operate the largest 180cm x 180cm throughput X-Ray machine on the market in the UK today. In addition we also operate our own Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) machine allowing us to handle those outsized and dense items, and the more unusual items such as cars.

This equipment is complimented with ongoing development into our fully automated Warehouse Management System (WMS). This WMS provides our customers with real time and accurate information which can be specifically tailored to meet your needs.

We’ve enhanced our Air Cargo Screening Facility with in-house Free Running Explosive Detection Dogs (FREDDs). Not only do they brighten our days, but they also handle cargo that is challenging, or even impossible to screen with conventional X-ray and ETD methods.

These capabilities are fully integrated with our continually developed Warehouse Management System (WMS), providing real-time, accurate information tailored to your specific requirements, giving you complete visibility and control.

We can manage collections and deliveries for you, work with any third-party haulier, or act as your dedicated distribution centre while you operate from elsewhere in the UK. As a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) listed agent, we can collect goods on your behalf, accept SPX cargo, build air cargo units, and handle temperature-controlled shipments.

While the transfer of cargo to the airline may be the final step in the export chain, it is often the most critical in meeting delivery expectations.

We take great pride in our Overnight Consolidated Airline Transfer service. With a well resourced team and a dedicated fleet, we are equipped to manage fluctuating volumes with consistency and efficiency - ensuring your cargo is delivered to your designated airline on time. Our transparent Fixed-rate Tariff includes no waiting time charges, giving our clients confidence and cost certainty. Also, with our automated Arrival At Airline notifications emailed to you in real time, you have live shipment status right through to airline delivery.
